Final Website

Website: Evidence Of Contribution

Deborah: I helped in creation of our website, by adding certain different elements that would be needed and beneficial for fans to navigate around. This included the creation of buttons that led onto different social networking pages that represented the group, along with a table containing various different tour dates and venues, way's of accessing their most recent songs and arranging some of the website neatly, and the login page. Moreover, I created the banner for the website, with the creative input of Sophie, and designed what we wanted fans to see on the first page, that represented the band.

Sophie:
For our final website, I contributed by restructuring our draft layout. I then corrected colour themes to match our digi pack and changed all fonts to also match. However our main font was not available on wixs fonts options, so we choose a font that was the closet representation. I then modeled for the images that would be used for our website and gave creative input as Deborah edited and create our site banner. Then as we were finalizing our design I had the idea to banner the posts to separate the post from the background, David then completed this task.

David: With the website I edited one of the pictures that were taken adjusting hue/ saturation, the mid-tones, colour and contrast of the picture and added a texture effect to the picture to make it appear more vivid. I then used this as the websites background. Additionally I also edited the 'dates' and 'contact us' pages on the website and then added the digipack front cover picture as the album cover to buy on the website. Then I changed colours to match the rest of the website and link to the digi-pack.

Question 3

What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

We have chosen to present this question as a prezi presentation because we feel like we were able to present and compare our evidence and analyse, while demonstrating our i.t skills. By using this new media we were also able to include media such as videos, graphs, images and texts all in the same application.

Question 1

How does the production use/challenge/develop forms and conventions?

We have chosen to present the question as a 9 frame analysis because we felt we could pin point key parts of the video, include images of evidence and examples while analysing our decisions easily. We also can dedicate each frame to a key idea. This will be our more word based question, where-as the rest will be presented in videos, commentaries and presentations.
By completing this task we were able to analyse our decisions and how effective they were at creating an image for our band.

Question 4

New media in your research and planning, production and evaluation?

We have chosen to present this question as a video presentation because we felt it represented new media very well, as it is new media in itself, and we were able to present evidence about it whilst talking.

Digi Pack: Evidence of Contribution

Sophie:

For the final digi pack I contributed by modeling for the photos, as the band members were unavailable  and I have similar hair to the lead singer. After the photos had been taken me and Deborah sat down and decided on our top choices and where they should be used. Then using iPhoto we began to edit them in terms of effects, cropping and so forth. After the pictures were to our standards I began creating the front and back panels of the digi pack in photoshop, with Deborah's input in terms of creative choices. I ensured I had evidence of my contribution and labeled the remain photos and templates for the other members of the group to continue with.

Deborah:
For the Final Digi-Pak, I contributed by taking pictures of the four panels, to use for our cover. While keeping in mind the main themes we wanted to use for Digi-Pak, I went ahead and took what I felt would suit and match our band as well as the genre they represent. This ranged from natural (nature) images, through to stills of our two models. Once done, myself and Sophie went ahead and sorted through a range of the images taken, and finalised the ones we wanted to use for the Digi-Pak.

David: The final digi-pak involved me creating the CD cover, adding two circles to make it look like a CD cover, I then merged the background nature picture with some written texts and played around with the opacity and brightness of both the picture and text to merge the two together. I then edited the nature background used and adjusted contrast, the sun ray brightness and use of the blur tool on Photoshop. I also the choice in having an image of solely just nature - this tree on used, that did not include any characters within it.
