Digipack Task

This is my digipack task in which I chose to recreate 50 Cents Curtis album cover which I found fun and interesting editing my picture in photoshop to look like the original 50 cent cover. The hardest part was copying and then blending in the tattoo and the bracelet, but the experience has given me competence in going and using photoshop in the future. .

 50 Cent  rapper with his image of a modern day gangster of the streets with the typical rags to riches story, the tough guy look the album cover conveys all goes along and is fully congruent with how his image is sold to his audience. This is something I need to think about when marketing The Fergies. - the band we are creating a music video for.

I also copied and distorted the bracelet and tattoo from the original picture to blend it into my picture, through using the distort and wrap effects. 

I also changed the picture to the original dimensions in which most cd covers use being 500x500.

This task has been good practice in preparing me for further editing of pictures that I will need to do when creating the image for the band The Fergies that we are working with. It also helps me see the way I need to think about how I am going to package and sell the band and what type of image I am going to do that with.
